In short

What is Assess BeFit Assessment?

24 everyday work scenarios, each with four reasonable responses. The candidate picks the one most like them and the one least like them โ€” the same forced-choice approach used in DISC-style profiles. The result is a profile across four work styles โ€” Leading & Team Orientation, Communication, Pressure Handling, and Precision & Detail โ€” and how closely that profile resembles the working style a chosen role is described as rewarding.

Best suited toStructured first-round conversations where you want a consistent, comparable picture of how someone tends to approach work, to guide interview questions โ€” alongside, not instead of, interviews, references and evidence of skills.
What you get

What does Assess BeFit Assessment include?

  • Scenario-based, most / least like me โ€” no right or wrong answers and no obviously 'best' response
  • A relative profile across four work styles: where the person leans, not a pass mark
  • Role style match: how closely the profile resembles the style a role is described as rewarding (General, Sales, Support, Operations, Supervisor), changeable live in the report
  • Descriptive, not a hiring verdict โ€” the report points to where to explore further in the interview
  • Tailored interview questions for each style
The case

Why does it matter?

Self-rating questionnaires ('I stay calm under pressure') are easy to answer the way you think an employer wants, so almost everyone scores well and the results say little. BeFit instead puts people in realistic work situations and asks which of four equally reasonable responses is most and least like them. Because every response is a sensible one, there is no flattering answer to reach for โ€” what comes out is where a person's natural emphasis lies.

The process

How does Assess BeFit Assessment work?

  1. 1

Candidate reads 24 short work situations and chooses the response most like them and the one least like them

  2. 2

AXIS360 builds a relative profile across the four work styles

  3. 3

The report shows the profile and, for the selected role, how closely it resembles that role's described working style, with suggested interview questions

More screeners and where they are used

Using results responsibly. Assessment results describe tendencies and preferences at the time of testing; they are one input to a decision, not a verdict. Use them alongside a structured interview, work samples and references, tell candidates how their results will be used, and avoid treating any single score as a pass or fail line unless it has been validated for that purpose in your own setting.
Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is there a pass mark or a hire / don't hire result?

No. Because candidates must choose between equally reasonable responses, the result is a profile of relative emphasis, not a score out of 100. The role style match describes resemblance to a working style; it is not a recommendation.

Has the role style match been validated against job performance?

Not yet. The four work styles and the role profiles are our own design and have not been validated against performance outcomes or normed on a large sample. Treat the output as structured input for an interview conversation, not as a predictor, and never as the sole basis for a decision.

What happened to the old 32-question version?

Candidates who completed the earlier rating-scale version keep their original results and reports unchanged. New assessments use the scenario-based format.
